4-Day Football Academy Schedule

Pacific NW Football Academy offers a 4-day schedule designed to provide middle and high school football players with the highest level of training. Coaches with experience at the college and professional level will be leading the training sessions. Join us and take your game to the next level!

Day 1: Foundations of Speed, Agility, and Position Work

Objective: Introduce players to the camp’s structure and lay the foundation for speed, agility,

and positional training.

1-Hour 

  • Speed & Agility Training

    • Focus: RPR (Reflective Performance Reset) Testing 40 yard sprint, 5-10-5 drill, and vertical jump

    • Drills: Dynamic warm-up, mobility drills, and  proper cool-down

30 Minutes: (LB/DB/WR) & 1-Hour (QB's)

  • Pre-Practice Meeting & Film Review

    • Agenda:

      • Discuss the drills for the day (focus on technique, timing, and repetition)

      • Watch film from professional or college-level players to demonstrate how today’s drills apply to game scenarios (e.g., receiver footwork, running back vision, defensive back coverage)

2-Hour

  • On-Field Training

    • Individual Skill Work (60 minutes)

      • Offensive Skill Players (WR & QB):

        • WRs: Route running, footwork drills, catching

      • QBs: Mechanics, footwork, and ball placement drills

      • Defensive Skill Players (DB & LB):

        • DBs: Backpedal technique, breaking on the ball, reaction drills1-on-1 Drills (30 minutes)

        • WR vs. DBs: Focus on route running, releases, and press coverage techniques

      • Half-Line Drills (30 minutes)

      • Offense works on key plays with half the defense. Focus on timing and execution.

Day 2: Speed Endurance & Advanced Position Techniques

Objective: Build on Day 1's foundation, emphasizing speed endurance and advanced

position-specific techniques.

1-Hour

  • Speed & Agility Training

    • Focus: Different starting stances (2-point & 3-point), Acceleration, Top-end velocity 

    • Drills: RPR, Dynamic warm-up, Fly-in's, Lateral starts, Figure 8, Banded sprints, and Curved sprints

30 Minutes: (LB/DB/WR) & 1-Hour (QB's)

  • Pre-Practice Meeting & Film Review

    • Agenda:

      • Introduce drills of the day

      • Watch film of advanced techniques in action (e.g., complex route running, defensive

      • back zone and man coverage)

      • Emphasize mental focus, reading defenses/oenses, and in-game decision-making

2-Hours

  • On-Field Training

Objective: Enhance football IQ by applying advanced techniques in situational drills and

scrimmages.

  • Individual Skill Work (60 minutes)

    • 1-on-1 Drills (30 minutes)

    • Half-Line Drills (30 minutes)

Day 3: Football IQ & High-Level Techniques

Objective: Enhance football IQ by applying advanced techniques in situational drills and

scrimmages.

1-Hour 

  • Speed & Agility Training

    • Focus: Deceleration and Change of direction ​

    • Drills: RPR, Dynamic warm-up, L-drill, Figure eight, High/low speed break, and Deceleration pivots

30 Minutes: (LB/DB/WR) & 1-Hour (QB's)

  • Pre-Practice Meeting & Film Review

    • Agenda:

      • Discuss the drills for the day (focus on technique, timing, and repetition)

      • Review of technique from previous days with different situations (Coverages, Routes, and Field of view IQ)

 

2-Hours

  • On-Field Training

    • Individual Skill Work (60 minutes)

    • 1-on-1 Drills (30 minutes)

    • Half-Line Drills (30 minutes)

Day 4: Game Preparation & Championship Mindset

Objective: Final day focused on mastering the application of all skills learned in real-game scenarios and developing a championship mentality.

1-Hour

  • Speed & Agility Training

Focus: Re-test 40 yard sprint and 5-10-5 drill

Drills: RPR, Dynamic warm-up, Vector plyometrics, and Mobility drills 

30 Minutes: (LB/DB/WR) & 1-Hour (QB's)

  • Pre-Practice Meeting & Film Review

Agenda:

Overview of final day's drills

Watch film of game-winning plays (e.g., 4th quarter comebacks, goal-line stands)

Discuss mental toughness, leadership, and overcoming adversity

1-Hour

  • On-Field Training

    • Individual Skill Work (60 minutes) Refining technique, with an emphasis on mental clarity and sharp execution under pressure

    • Offensive Skill Players: Final tweaks on timing and mechanics for QB/WR

    • ​Defensive Skill Players: Coverage drills​

    • 1v1 Drills ​

1-Hour 

  • 7on7 Scrimmage
