To further enhance the camp experience, we will hosting online film study sessions for four weeks leading up to the camp. This will allow us to maximize on-field reps and elevate the level of instruction once we’re together in person.
Why Film Study
Football film study significantly boosts a player’s football IQ—their deep understanding of schemes, formations, tendencies, and situational awareness—by allowing repeated analysis of plays at a controlled pace. Through breaking down game footage, players recognize patterns in opponent behavior, anticipate movements, and build mental models of what to expect, effectively turning chaotic on-field chaos into predictable scenarios. This enhanced cognitive processing and pattern recognition make the game “slow down” for the player, as decisions that once felt rushed become instinctive and faster.
The result is improved game speed: quicker reads, sharper reactions, better positioning, and more efficient execution, as the brain no longer spends extra time figuring out basics during live action but instead reacts with pre-loaded knowledge and confidence. Elite performers across levels credit consistent film work for transforming raw athleticism into smarter, faster play.
